I've saved you from the full
horror of what I look like.
Actually this photo is quite old now, I must get a new one taken.

A Brief History of Mine...
My name is Adam Wheewall and this is my story...
I live in the North of England, Misterton, a small village in North Nottinghamshire, which is were I was born and originally lived much of my life.
The Beginnings
I was born on Thursday 30th April 1970 (which makes me a Taurus)
at home at 6 Minster Road, Misterton, England. The third (and last)
son of Betty Joyce and Derrick Wheewall. My older brothers are Darryl
(7 years older) and Carl (5 years older). At the age of five
I attended Misterton Primary School.
Growing Up
My brothers and I grew up in Misterton until 1982 when my parents
took over the Crown Inn at Saundby, a couple of miles up the road from
Misterton. We lived there until 1991 when they moved back to Misterton.
During this time I attended Ordsall Hall School, Retford. The Crown Inn was the place to be in those days every other Friday, as my dad ran a disco club which excluded all the idiots who just wanted to fight (of which there were a lot of at that time).
The Wilderness Years
I left secondary school, worked for 10 years to achieve nothing of any real worth,
spending most of my time working for a local design and print company.
The University Years
In the summer of 1996 I moved to Leeds and enrolled at Leeds
Metropolitan University on a Computing degree course. The first week
there I started working for the Students'
Union at their Kirkstall Brewery bar. I soon found my feet in Leeds
both socially and academically.
Whilst at Uni I ran several businesses, including a design studio - in-house design, and an events company - Under Canvas. Both of which were a lot of fun, and very successful.
After completing my degree I was elected President
of the Students' Union, a full time paid post you hold for a year. The process
of going through University really opened my eyes and changed
my outlook on life. The President's position gave me the opportunity to give something back to a University and Students' Union that provided so much for me during these years.
Status Quo
Various trips and time spent abroad inspired me to learn how to sail. All my spare time in the intervening years have been spent sailing. Starting with dingeys, I progressed up to keel yachts and clocked up over 11,000 miles in two years, crossing the Atlantic twice and gaining my Coastal Skipper.
The Verve
In 2008 I went to Antibes (the yacht crew job exchange capital of the world) to try and break into the luxury yacht job market. After three weeks I managed to land myself the position of IT/Deck Officer onboard a 66m mega yacht. I join the boat in early May and can't wait to get started.
to be continued...

Okay, so I only came third in the 8-11 year olds, but the winner was
3 years old than me and anyway, my poster was better. |

A Man of Letters
A proud day with my parents as I collect my degree. Who'd have thought
